We breed and show only Pixie-Bobs. We breed to the TICA approved Standard. You can find us at shows in the Mid Atlantic Region. We have had several award winning Pixie-Bobs, since we began showing Pixie-Bob cats in early 1999. Our first two Pixie-Bob kittens came from the Pacific Northwest in 1998. We were fortunate to have receive our first Pixies from, my sister & dearest friend, Susan Jordan of Dixie Pixie Cattery. Dixie Pixie was a premier cattery that bred a very unique line of Texas Cats to Pacific Northwest bloodlines. Susie passed away in 2004, the breed lost a superior breeder, I lost a sister and life long friend. Since Susie's passing the Dixie Pixie line has become a very sought after, we have always loved the look of the Dixie Pixie line and strive to preserve the look that Susie so generously gave us. Spring Creek has a very unique line of Pixiebobs that all carry Dixiepixie and Stoneisland old foundation lines. Our Pixie-Bobs also are the only line to carry the Dixie Pixie Duke line. When we can no longer carry on this look and line we will close our doors as we personally feel that the only really wild bobcat look comes from the Dixiepixie line blended with the old foundation line of Stoneisland. We seldom have more than one litter a year. We breed for quality although, not all of our kittens can be show quality. We offer our pet quality kittens with whatever length tail they are born with. We do not dock tails. The length of the tail has nothing to do with the personality of the cat. If you are looking for a Pixie-Bob and prefer the dock tail, I will be more than happy to direct you to breeders that do dock. It is just my personal preference to not dock. Feel free to call or e-maiI me and I will be glad to help you find a reputable breeder closest to you. Our pet quality kittens will be altered before leaving, they will have at least their first two series of shots, wormed, and are tested for FeLV and FIV. Our Pixie-Bobs are raised in our home under foot. With the exception of our spaying whole males, they are housed in large secure housing outside of our living quarters. Our adult cats have access to a large completely enclosed play yard, weather permitting, so they can get fresh air and sunshine. They are accustom to the sounds and smells of the country, and none of the usual city sounds. It may take them a few days to adjust to the new sounds of city life. This is their view from their play yard. |
